A collection of one-of-a-kind handwoven cotton blankets made from cotton grown in the American South, spun and woven into yarn in Virginia, and woven and finished in my Maryland studio. Soft, weighty, and warm with beautiful drape and soft fringe.

Description

This collection began with an experiment: how local could I make a cotton blanket?

The cotton for these blankets was grown in South Carolina and Virginia, spun into yarn in Virginia, and then woven and finished by me in Maryland.

Each blanket is woven individually on my loom using a striped twill structure that creates a thick, soft fabric with beautiful drape and warmth. Every color combination in the collection is unique, making each blanket a one-of-a-kind piece.

Most blankets in this collection measure approximately 48″ × 60″. One blanket finished at a smaller 48″ × 48″ size, making it especially suited as a compact throw or lap blanket.

After weaving, the blankets are washed and finished to soften the fabric and bring the structure fully to life. The final cloth is weighty, warm, and cozy, finished with soft fringe at both ends.

Designed for everyday use: reading chairs, couches, cool mornings, and long winters!
