Description
This blanket was woven as a final one-of-a-kind piece after completing my collection of hyperlocal cotton blankets.
The cotton for these blankets was grown in South Carolina and Virginia, spun into yarn in Virginia, and then woven and finished by me in Maryland.
While the main collection explored individual color combinations, this final blanket brings all five colors together in one vibrant striped weaving. Woven in the same soft striped twill structure as the collection pieces, the cloth has beautiful drape, warmth, and a substantial hand.
After weaving, the blanket was washed and finished to soften the fabric and fully bring the structure to life. The final cloth is weighty, cozy, and finished with soft fringe at both ends.
Designed for everyday use: reading chairs, couches, cool mornings, and long winters.
