The past couple of weeks have been a blur. We went to Spain for the Thanksgiving holiday (which was wonderful!), and I immediately came down with some kind of post-travel bug that knocked me out harder than I expected. Meanwhile, my shop decided to remind me that real life doesn’t care about jet lag. Not only did I sell out of a warp, I accidentally oversold it. Oops. So this week has been all about getting back to the loom, settling back into my rhythm, and weaving replacements for the orders that came in while I was away.
I took a quick little video of today’s progress – just a short, sped-up clip of me weaving these towels. It felt good to be back at my smaller loom and working with cotton, not wool. So smooth!
Now that I’m caught up, I’m planning to make a few more towels in this colorway since it was so popular, and I’m playing with plaid for napkins too. Next warp will be washcloths.
In my downtime, I’ve finished balling up the wool leftovers from my blanket warps. I’ve got two sleeves done on my “loom waste sweater” and look forward to showing it off!
