This week’s weaving was interrupted by sickness…. myself and my daughter caught colds, so I didn’t weave as much as I’d like! When I did, I enjoyed the rhythm. You’ll see in the video below – the shuttle flying back and forth like it has something to prove. I wish I wove that fast!
I’m almost at the end of the blanket warp for Cestari Sheep – just a few more blankets before these head back to them to be sold.
Finishing the blankets means I’m in an in-between stage – one project wrapping up while I have another in my head dying to start.
Next week means finishing and mailing the blankets, then warping my smaller loom for cotton washcloths – a change of pace and texture! I love wool, but cotton will be stronger and less prone to breakage.
These blankets are headed back to the mill, but you can find my own handwoven pieces in my shop!
